Discover Lissory Photography – Grégory Lissens, Professional Photographer in Piéton (Hainaut) – My Vision & Journey

« A photograph is about granting eternal life to a fleeting moment. »

From Passion to Instinct

This sentence perfectly summarizes my vision of photography

My perspective was shaped long before I officially picked up a camera. Since childhood, I observed the world with a particular sensitivity, drawn to details, emotions, and fleeting instants. Creation was already a part of me through drawing, writing, and other forms of artistic expression.

In 2012, photography became a self-evident path. An image, a connection, a spark: I understood then that the camera was the tool that finally allowed me to fully express what I felt. I soon realized that my approach is instinctive and different, guided by emotion rather than simple aesthetics.

Technical Expertise at the Service of Emotion

Driven by constant curiosity, I trained intensively in photographic techniques. Tutorials, online training, specialized channels, photography exhibitions in Paris, and meetings with other photographers… each experience enriched my vision. I participated in competitions and dedicated events, eventually completing certified training and receiving awards for my work.

Over time, I explored many universes: portraiture, landscape photography nurtured by my love for travel, automotive photography, and macro. Each of these disciplines brought me a different understanding of light, framing, and the right moment.

It is ultimately in event photography that everything made sense. It brings together what I love most: the human element, the spontaneous, sincere emotion, and constant adaptation. Every event is unique, every situation different, offering infinite richness without ever repeating itself.

Today, I view my images not as mere photographs, but as fragments of life frozen in time. My goal is to capture true moments, carrying strong emotions and messages, so they can be relived long after they were taken.

When my clients tell me that my photos make them relive a memory, an atmosphere, or an emotion, I know my mission is accomplished: transforming the ephemeral into eternity.
